The developed solution work under the IIS and under Apache web server. The architecture is developed in the way, which will allow in future incorporating cubes handling. The architecture is developed in the way, which enable deployment on the cloud with multitenancy provision.

The software architecture is create in the way that a single instance of software runs on a server and serves multiple tenants. A tenant is a group of users who share a common access with specific privileges to the software instance. With a multitenant architecture, a software application is designed to provide every tenant a dedicated share of the instance – including its data, configuration, user management, tenant individual functionality and non-functional properties. There is a resources protection implemented in the system. User who did not pass the authentication procedures cannot get access to the reports, models, views and templates

Application supports connections to the following list of data sources:

  • Microsoft SQL Server Standard/Enterprise/Express;
  • Oracle;
  • MS Access db;
  • MS Excel.

Additionally it is possible to connect to following data sources by using Standard configuration from menu and installation additional connectors or additional system configuration:

  • MySQL;
  • SQLite;
  • PostgreSQL;
  • DB2;
  • Sybase;
  • Informix;
  • Firebird;
  • Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).


  • Implementation of the users authentication (user roles, access and security is elaborated more in the design document).
